Hi everyone,

I have finished doing my trapunto work with the disolvable thread.  Now I am getting ready to quilt over that, but I am having a hard time telling where the new thread from the older thread.  I'm getting the threads confused.  I can't tell where I've been or where I am going.  The tone on tone is hard for my eyes to see the difference.  Any tricks to doing this part?  I have attached a picture of the quilt with the trapunto in it.  Maybe this might help.

Thanks!

Have you tried some bright side lighting?  This can cause more of a shadow type light and will sometimes make it easier to see.

Hi Kim,

No I haven't tried that.  Thanks for the info.  Sorry about not writing sooner.  I didn't know that you had responded.  Still trying to work my way around this site.
