Hello, I am new to this group. I would like to make a queen orking size whole cloth quilt. I made a small one before and quite enjoyed it. Would anyone of you know a good source for buying a preprinted whole cloth quilt? I have seen the Christian Lane ones, there seem to be 2 patterns only.

Thank you, and happy quilting,

Irmgard,

Would a panel quilt be considered a whole cloth quilt?  I've done a few panel quilts over the years.  My last one was a baby quilt for my new grandbaby.  There's a photo on my profile.  I have a couple more I want to start on.  Would this be the right place to talk about 'em?  They'll be hand quilted.

Hello everyone,  I am preparing to embark on my first whole cloth quilt.  I would like to include some trapunto and shadow trapunto on it.  I've watched A LOT of videos on this and everyone says to use white batiste.  This quilt will be one that is used, not just displayed.  My question is this....Should I be looking for a 100% cotton batiste material, or polyester batiste or a blend?  I'm finding all three of those types so I'm just not sure which way to go.  This is a wedding gift so I want to do everything right or at least as right as I can get it.  :)  Thanks in advance.  Any advice will be appreciated.

Good morning everyone. Welcome to the group Rose. Have you ever made a whole cloth quilt? There are many places to get designs for whole cloth quilts. I usually design my own, but I have found a new place that I am going to purchase some designs to play with. The company is, http://pdf.onesongneedlearts.com/. They have recently added PDF vector images to their business. These designs can be downloaded after purchase and printed out to any size that you might like. They have a free sample download available to try out. I think that their designs are gorgeous and I am looking forward to some hand quilting time this winter. Also, christianlanequilters.com has whole cloth quilt top kits available. I have some of Irena Bluhm's books. She makes beautiful quilts and has a great web site. Does anyone else have a favorite place to get designs from?

Hi everyone and welcome to new members. I have been very busy and haven't been able to post anything. I'm still working on finishing my Autumn Delight wall hanging. I don't have much left to quilt but I just have to find the time to do it.  What is everyone else working on?  Anyone have any new projects that they have started?  I look forward to hearing about what you are working on. Have a great day.

This is off the topic but a friend of mine found out last week her FB account was compromised and someone is using her name here in the USA to scam money from people on FB. Her name is Lilian Hedley from England and if anyone gets a request for money in her name please ignore it and contact FB with the information. Lilian is trying to get this resolved. For those who don't know she is a wholecloth quilter who does her work by hand like I do only she is a far better quilter htan I am.

I love Karen McTavish. I saw her on Simply Quilts and decided to use a modified version of her trapunto method. I fell in love with Whole cloth quilts because of her and her story.
