I just finished this appilque wall wall hanging. I used glitter paint and glass beading on the flowers and the butterflies. It is my own design and was really fun to make, I have a sister wall hanging in the works.

Comment by briony balala on April 18, 2012 at 7:33pm Im in the process of making some applique wall hangings and would like some advice on wadding or batting .Is it ok to use polyester wadding and what weight should it be 2 oz or 4 oz.? I cant imagine that a cotton wadding would be any advantage here . Any ideas?
Love the birdhouse!

Comment by Karen S Pollard on January 24, 2012 at 5:42pm Ahh...it's absolutely gorgeous! I love Cardinals! I'm in KY, and they're our state bird. I keep woodpecker suet out, but the cardinals love it too.
I'm a new member and look forward to hearing all the ideas from this group. I make seasonal wallhangings for my home and am always looking for new ideas.
