UFOs

If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.

Great news about your great-niece and she is going to love her quilt. It is soooo cute and cheerful.

Looks like a nice start though.  I like it, cheerful.

I am so very blessed. # fingers and thumb had red marks......no blisters no problem. i helped my friend paint her sewing room. I haven't been on a ladder in a long time. Since I am a rather round GIGI and 62 tomorrow......I went to my friends house in Jeans that were really tight and not my best ones, I didn't want to wipe paint on the ones I currently am wearing.. My old ones are a size smaller.......before I could only wish that the button and button hole would span a large gap....Today the size smaller jeans were buttoned and zipped  AND I could breath.  I haven't been able to wear them in over a yr.

Wow...I have been gone for one week and you ladies are moving right along.  The tshirt quilt I was commissioned to do is done and being appreciated by the man who was surprised to find his shirts in a quilt.  Hahaha   Glad that is done.  I am going to work on the quilt that is on my design wall and also put one UFO on my quilt frame.  I don't want to get toooo far behind you all.  Starting in the morning.  It was a long ride from SC and I am tired.  Keep up the good work ladies.....happy quilting.

Here's the pattern with the layer cake .. it's Meadow Friends by Deb Strain, bright cheerful and full of joy :> I've got almost all the shapes drawn and cut .. there are 7 butterflies 7 turtles and 6 flowers. These will be fused on a white background, then the block will be framed by various strips. THEN you cut a 9" block on a tilt with a square ruler to make the blocks wonky -- this will give me some fun inbetween my log cabin strips  LOL

Hi Mary,

Sorry about your injury!  Hope your hand heals soon.  What is "PTL"?

Hi Deanna,

I love your quilt!  Really good colour choices.  That pattern can be used for a smaller quilt too.

Your niece will be so happy to have her little girl at home.  It has been quite an ordeal for a little baby.

It reminds me of skull surgery my grandson, Jackson, had to have at 6 months because there were no natural openings in his skull. Doctors had to pull back his skin and make openings and put in pins in his skull and refashion his eye socket.  And he recovered completely with no ill effects as he grew up.  He's 10 now.

Sending my thoughts and prayers to your niece's baby and wishing for her complete recovery.

Nice quilt Deanna.  Anxiously waiting pictures of the quilt for the little one. It sounds so cute.
