If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.

Hi Riana,

You look great in your new photo.  Years younger!  You have a flattering hair style.  Makes me want to run to the hairdressers - maybe it will work for me to. LOL

A costume for grandd, a few items for bazaar, and a little harvest table/ wall quilt for my neigbour in Fla. who kept an eye on our house there. Then l must pack up my midarm, a few projects to work on, and my kit of tools for our trek south.l don't have duplicates of everything...but l do have Celine, cutting mat/ rotar,& small design wall waiting in my sewing closet there, as well as a modest stash of scraps.

I am very happy Elizabeth that your hubby came through his surgery so well. It must be a relief.

Some years ago a friend had open heart surgery where they put in a pig valve. The first thing she said after coming through the surgery was, Oink Oink!!

Thank you, Mary.

The news depresses me too.

I feel so sorry for those in California in the path of the wild fires.  Don't hesitate to evacuate if you are given an alert.

Hubby came quilting with me this morning in the party room.  He told my friends that there was a doctor who came to see him and who looked like our grand daughter who is a young looking 18.  So I wasn't the only one imagining the staff are teenagers.

Hi Everyone,

I went into the hospital yesterday and was told that the decision had been made to send Doug home if all the tests proved O.K.  I guess he had been acting up there and the nurses wanted to banish him from sight!  No, I'm just being silly.  He had the most wonderful nurse - she looked about 16 and was so helpful and efficient.  I think they place the best nurses in the Heart Institute. So I brought him home and cooked him dinner.

Carol, I think the valves are still from pigs or cows.  It is just there is a new method of implantation where it does not entail open heart surgery.  It is good that a heart problem was eliminated for your Father.  Wishing him better health with the new diagnosis.

Good Morning!  And Thank you :)

Elizabeth, my Mom was there in 2010. She had a pig valve put it LOL Funny how what works eh? My Dad had been undergoing some tests there too, and just yesterday got the confirmation that the problem he is having is NOT his heart - WOO HOO!

Mary, I can't even begin to imagine all the things that must be running through your mind right now. Too bad you couldn't just bury all your precious treasures in the back yard for safe keeping, but I would imagine that the heat would get to them there too :( Riana had a good idea with the trailer though... I pray that you will be spared from the destruction. If I could send you all the rain that we are supposed to be getting this weekend I would!

Take care all, I'm off to work now...
