If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.

Thank you, Carol and Deanna.  Last night was my first night alone for a long time and I was a little uneasy that the balcony door would not lock.  I called our Sup this morning and he adjusted it and it is working well.  He doesn't have to do chores like that because this is a condo but he is so good to all the residents, especially helpless old ladies! LOL

Yes, Carol Hubby is in the Heart Institute.  It is a world class medical centre and we are so lucky it is here in Ottawa.  When did your Mom have her valve replaced?  Did she have a TAVI, the new procedure where the Drs. go in through the groin or side of the chest?

I love your Lone Star!  Where did you take the course?  Do you do your own machine or hand quilting?  Or do you send your quilts to the LLAQ?

Wow, Carol, l LOVE those border prints you so aptly used in those borders. A very rich mixture of blues.

Elizabeth, l'll bet you're relieved that they finally went ahead with the operation, it must've been nerve wracking getting bumped twice...glad he's now recovering.

Hi everyone!

That is a fun quilt Riana!!

Mary, that tapestry sounds like it is going to be amazing!

Happy to hear that your hubby is doing well Elizabeth! Is he at the Heart Institute? That is where my Mom had her valve done and they took really good care of her :)

So, is it ok to add another project to my UFO pile? This is one that was started at a workshop on Friday, taught by Patty Carey from Northcott Fabrics. It was finished up at home between Friday night and early Saturday morning. Now it needs the quilting...

They're pretty famous here in Ontario, especially Tom Thompson. I was hired to make draperies for the cottage owned by his family ( by new owners who, unfortunately " updated" it.) My favorite painting is the one of the jackpine.

Riana, My Art History Classes never made it to the Impressionists, so I only know the BIG names.  Looked up the "Group of Seven."  Now I am going to see if I can afford to order a book on them.  I think I will find lots of enjoyment and help on the tapestry.  Needed them ten years ago.

Worked for The Group of Seven , Mary, and we know how well their snowy scenes of Algonquin Park were received.

Got some placemats made for bazaar, and have begun quilting a Hallowe'en quilt.
