If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.

They're pretty famous here in Ontario, especially Tom Thompson. I was hired to make draperies for the cottage owned by his family ( by new owners who, unfortunately " updated" it.) My favorite painting is the one of the jackpine.

Riana, My Art History Classes never made it to the Impressionists, so I only know the BIG names.  Looked up the "Group of Seven."  Now I am going to see if I can afford to order a book on them.  I think I will find lots of enjoyment and help on the tapestry.  Needed them ten years ago.

Worked for The Group of Seven , Mary, and we know how well their snowy scenes of Algonquin Park were received.

Got some placemats made for bazaar, and have begun quilting a Hallowe'en quilt.

I am pulling apart when I can,and couching in various colors, and even taking skinny yarn down the middle of fatter ones.  It will look OK from a distance, sort of like Impressionism.

Mary, is your yarn multiply? Perhaps you can split a strand and add in a few strands of next color.

Got the downstairs windows washed!  Did half back in early June, then it got to hot to think about anything active.  If I do upstairs tomorrow, it should start raining..Hope, hope, hope.

Am starting the snow in the Forest tapestry..will try to post a close up picture.  The gradations from deep blue to bright white are lovely on the colored pencil drawing, but very hard to do in yarn.

I was a bit surprised too at first .. then it became clear :)  Hunting is year round here just about ..

I have been taking a breather this week .. nothing to report, other than emptying boxes. I have been finding things .. like my rotary cutter for paper/plastic .. marking pencils, still haven't found my colored pencils yet. Am trying to sketch out a Thanksgiving banner ~ Linda and I talked about it on Monday.  I think I have decided on which one, batiks would be good, but I may good Rogue (pun!) and do it in whatever I have in the stash lol

Riana ~ why yes you did. Just in time for hunting season you see .. am in the middle of the country that is hunter's paradise  lol  The men are going for the gun, the women are going for the quilt  lol  But there are as many women hunters here as men, so it might be 50/50
