If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.

Well, 'Paint Night' was a fundraising event put on by our local Fire Department Ladies Auxillary. A teacher comes in with all the supplies and shows us how to paint a scene. Her sample was a red barn, grass, sky, couple of trees... it was amazing how different all of the paintings were - there were 40 of us there! Here is what mine turned out like... keep in mind that I haven't painted since high school and that was questionable LOL

Paint nights here are in a bar from the gold rush days.  I would like to see the room, but am scared of the other patrons going in.  It is in the top ten of violent bars in California.

Carol, I like the idea of taking folk with you, and being in a home.  I will suggest the idea to some other local artists...I could put quite a few in my living/dining area.  Could be a fund raiser for the library.

I went to a paint night with my DIL and GD.  It was a lot of fun!  Although my painting wasn't that good.  We did a winter scene with 2 cardinals.  My DIL's SIL had it at her home and she had nice food and drinks.  I didn't touch the wine but a lot of women did.  They were mostly neighbours of the hostess who also taught the course.

Ok, so stoo teasing us, Carol...what's " paint night"? You paint a barn quilt? Get a face paint job? Pick paint chips and use them as a pallet to make a quilt? Buy wholesale paint? Quilt plain fabric then paint with fabric paint???? You are dealing with folks with wild imaginations here, lol.
