UFOs

If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.

Elizabeth, there are 3 dogs that are going to be very happy! Very nice quilts. I kinda like Clifford, the big red dog!

Ginny, I'm sorry your machine is having problems. I trust you have backups?

You girls have been busy!

Love the quilts for the fur babies, Elizabeth. I THINK I understand that these are for dogs, right? Very cute!

Love your quilt, Mary! Very interesting pattern and it was perfect for all those multi-colored florals!

I have now joined the club of "Machines with Problems" and mine is currently at the hospital. When I press the pedal, it either doesn't go at all or it races! I am not good with this stuff and am afraid one of the races will end up through my finger, so off it went.

This is for Lucy - a more feminine quilt.  It is backed with black fleece.  I forgot to mention that Teddy's quilt is backed with bright flannel.

I machine quilted all 3 quilts but not very much.  Just enough to keep the batting in place when they are washed.

This is for Teddy, an older little sheltie, who was originally my daughter's dog before she got married.

This is Cole's quilt.  It is backed with a Doggie print fleece.  Cole is a big, black dog that was a rescue dog.  He is really happy at my daughter's because he can be outdoors most of the day.

Mary, great quilt...never seen that pattern before.

Wonderful quilt top, Mary!  I know that pattern is not easy - I've never tried it.  I'll be finishing the dog quilts today.

#10 block for the R&R civil war sampler came today.  I've used up a lot of my civil war repro fabrics and I am out of lights.  So I'll ask Hubby to go fabric shopping with me.  There is only 1 quilt shop in Ottawa that sells them.

Great use of fabric, Mary. Turned out a beautiful quilt.

Variation of "Arabic Lattic".  It was fun to use up some of the yardage that refused to sort into a single colored piles.  Now to figure out a border that will keep the patches from tumbling off the edges.

Dee, we' re all " sew " happy for you...that looks like a sturdy house on a restful and lovely lot. Love the corner windows in the sewingroom...that' s the perfect corner for your machines!
