Is anyone attending "A Mountain Quiltfest" in Pigeon Forge this weekend or the Smoky Mountain Quilters' show next weekend in Maryville?

I was able to go to Pigeon Forge yesterday for only a couple of hours. I heard one person mention that next year the quiltfest will be in one location, instead of split between two. I hope that one year my schedule will allow me to take a class there.

I noticed a familiar name from My Quilt Place, Orville Roach, on a few quilts yesterday, including one with a blue ribbon! It's always better to see a quilt in person instead of just a photo on the computer screen.

Janet that is really clever!

In my art quilt guild we have a one-word theme each month for a small quilt object.  The September theme was "renewal."  This is my interpretation of the standard Tennessee license plate, which if course comes up for renewal every year!

I am trying to compile of quilting/sewing tips to share with my guild.  Any good tips you would like to share?  Particularly "out of the box" thinking?

Hi ladies! Anyone interested in helping me represent Tennessee in an American quilt project? It's an applique project but would love some help if any of you are into that.

Quiltfest in Pigeon Forge last weekend, and the Smoky Mountain Quilters show this weekend at Maryville College, near where I live. It's a good time to be a quilter in east Tennessee!

Hoping I can go to the quilt show. Just have to find out how to get there.
