Looks like the dress block swap is off to a good start with signups! Think I will put the cat n dog idea on hold for a bit and bring it back a bit later as Cat Nappn on a Dog Day Afternoon, the owl idea will resurface as Who Gives a Hoot! For now those not interested in dress blocks, or even those that are---- how about a Sew Much Fun block swap. I was thinking a bit smaller block, maybe 6.5 that could be finished in an attic window style. Anything sewing room related. Blocks could be made by  pieced, appliqued or embroidery machine and possibly embellished as this one would make a fun wall quilt.

I'm going to start a conversation for the dress block swap. This way we can see who is interested, get rolling on it and figure out who is born when. Lol

My birthday month is October,  could have some fun possibilities for a dress. If there are duplicates maybe take the next available month, so I could take September or November or what ever the leader decides

I would keep mine also, it would look great in my sewing room/ guest room.

Oh, and this one would be mine since I have no daughters or granddaughters. And to my knowledge, no great-granddaughters in the foreseeable future. LOL

If I understand correctly, we would be doing our birth month for the block. If there are dips, I presume we would choose/assigned another month. Correct?

I had mentioned doing. Birthday month in response to Vickis idea for doing a dress for each month

Dress block for birthday month?  What is the significance of birthday month?  That confuses me.  I have a couple of cute dress block patterns.  I am up for game whether it goes to any daughter or grand daughter, it would be fun just to do.

I will enjoy seeing the dress blocks, but with no granddaughters to inherit the quilt, I will skip this one.  Only one grandson and two grandnephews, sigh.
