Spring  is in the air, our sewing rooms are tempting us while outdoor activities beckon.  How about a Sew Much Fun block to keep those sewing rooms company over the summer months?  Anything sewing room related would work, sewing machines, needle and thread, dress forms, the ideas are endless !!!  These block would be great for a wall quilt so embellishments could really add to your blocks and the size leaves plenty of room to add personal touches to the finished quilt.. Everyone would make 12 identical blocks (1 to keep and 11 to share).  Sign up by May 5th, blocks need to be to me by June 20th so they can be mailed back out by June30th.  This one will run a bit longer than the usual month so it will hopefully fit with busy Spring schedules.

This swap will be for beginner quilters and beyond.

I've been talking with the repair person in Denver, sounds like my machine will be staying for about 4 weeks! UGGG!! I am frantically trying to track down a replacement , have been checking on a couple of Janome machines offered on Ebay, always a bit hesitant with bigger purchases but they do have a great policy if what you purchase does not work as described.

Good luck, Mary.  Four weeks will feel like forever, I bet.  Hope you find it.

My blocks may be late. I am having thread and tension issues with my machine. It took me over two hours yesterday to get one block done and the tension issue isn't fixed. I am going to try to keep working on them today. Maybe I will have better luck. If I don't get them out today they will be at least a week late because I am traveling for work.

If there is a different address than what I was sent via email a few weeks ago please let me know ASAP so I don't mail them to the wrong address.

It must be in the air. I have 3 blocks to go and having lots of tension issues. Thought I resolved them since the last 2 blocks turned out great. Shut down the machine for the night and next day issues returned. Just had it in for service, so no clue why again....hate it. Good luck to you. Praying that today my machine complies LOL.

Wilma---welcome to the "repairs needed club" lol!!  Hate to see others having machine issues too but glad everyone is understanding about the problem. Hope all the machines get over what ever little bu they seem to have. Mine did this a couple of months ago and after a quick cleaning, thread and bobbin change it grumbled a bit and started stitching beautifully again. Unfortunately that does not seem to be the case this time.

Well, Chris and Wilma, as far as I am concerned we could definitely move the deadline back further.  Don't know how the others feel,  but I will just be adding to the ever expanding WIPs.  Good luck with your machines. And Mary and Chef might like more time also.

Yes I would like a bit more time thanks. I just started 8 so 3 more to go. We had severe storms n two tropical storms in our forecast this next week.
I'm fine with the deadline being extended for those who need a bit more time!
I'll get them done as quick as I can. I'll post a picture tomorrow of the ones I have done. I'm hoping by end of week Friday I should be able to get the replacements finished.

it is what it is...everyone just breathe.....lol.    I am so far behind on projects I still haven't even put together the first stuff we traded. ..lol. guess it don't matter who's house it waits at.

With must frustration and troubles, I finished my blocks. I am going to try to get them in the mail tomorrow when I am traveling. If not, they will have to wait until some time this week when I can get to the post office. here they are:
