Christmas Blocks SHIPPED 11/19/2012!
UPDATED 11-19-2012 - DEADLINE PASSED! 21 received and shipped on 11/19/2012. Most of them went priority and PO stated would be there by Wed or Fri this week. I will post pictures of blocks next week - One person (Pat, I believe) sent me 11 different blocks and I did not get a photo of each one of those. The block I have is representative of the 11. Everyone would make 12 identical blocks (1 to keep and 11 to share with your team).
This swap will be for beginner quilters and beyond.
SIZE: 12.5 inches un-finished blocks
NUMBER OF SQUARES: You will get back 11 blocks - need 12 for a "quilt," including 1 you kept for yourself.
FABRICS: cotton, Christmas theme or colors
DESIGN: any design you choose
TECHNIQUE: pieced, paper pieced, appliqué, free form, touches of embroidery.
SWAP METHOD: Centralized. That means your Christmas blocks will be sent to me - send me a friend request so I can send you my address. Along with your blocks send me a STAMPED self-addressed FLAT RATE envelope. I will use this to send the blocks back.
SIGN UP DEADLINE: August 31, 2012.
MAIL IN DEADLINE: ALL blocks must be in my hands by October 31, 2012. Please - if you are an international player keep this in mind. Things happen, but it's not fair to make everyone wait. If you can get them done early, send them!
INSPIRATION: check on the web for Christmas quilt designs - must be a million hits!
Please don't join if you're pressed for time or can't make the deadline. There's always next time!
