Inspiring Quilters, Stitch by Stitch
Birds remind us that Spring is almost here. Let’s do a 12” block that incorporates a Bird/Birds. It can be any bird you want, make all the same for as many as we have participating. Opening for 12 spots
You will make 12 - 12” bird blocks that will be sent to me on or before April 18. Send blocks with a return self addressed stamped envelope. I will message my address to those who don’t already have it. It must be constructed of quality fabric. It can be done in any method you desire. The background can be what fits with your bird - if you have a Cardinal in winter on a snowy tree branch or bird getting a worm on a spring grassy area. Just remember the bird is the focal point.
You must post your progress on this discussion page.
RULE: you must Post progress or you could loose your spot in the exchange. We have created a great group from our block exchanges in the past. Several have created some wonderful works of art. If you are having troubles you can message me or Carla and/or post on the page and one or several may be able to help let’s make this fun again!
He looks as if you painted him...quite handsome.
Carla, those are beautiful
My husband showed no enthusiasm for my $5 flea market purchase yesterday, so I thought I would share it with all of you since I know you all appreciate the value of a good deal. This is a nail polish rack which I have repurposed. It is holding over 100 spools of thread and is so much sturdier and attractive than what I use to have up. I know this is off topic, but I was just so proud of my find.
Great use for that rack. We all will be checking out .ca is now. The humming birds Are just beautiful. My bird isn't as fancy.
Very nice , Kathy
Wow, that is a wonderful idea! And a great find!! And it's pretty too! How fun!
Love it. Great shopping!
So pretty and very inventive. Great find!
This is just great! And $5 to boot! I would love one of these and especially at that price!
See, I knew that you girls would appreciate this...lol. I started looking on ebay and found some really nice ones at reasonable prices. This one fits my small cones real well, now if I could just find something this cute and sturdy to hold my big cones.
Great bargain! I have been looking at these on Amazon for thread and they are around $35! Do Isacord sized spools fit? I have more embroidery thread than anything and would like to get racks that fit those sizes.
