Inspiring Quilters, Stitch by Stitch
Birds remind us that Spring is almost here. Let’s do a 12” block that incorporates a Bird/Birds. It can be any bird you want, make all the same for as many as we have participating. Opening for 12 spots
You will make 12 - 12” bird blocks that will be sent to me on or before April 18. Send blocks with a return self addressed stamped envelope. I will message my address to those who don’t already have it. It must be constructed of quality fabric. It can be done in any method you desire. The background can be what fits with your bird - if you have a Cardinal in winter on a snowy tree branch or bird getting a worm on a spring grassy area. Just remember the bird is the focal point.
You must post your progress on this discussion page.
RULE: you must Post progress or you could loose your spot in the exchange. We have created a great group from our block exchanges in the past. Several have created some wonderful works of art. If you are having troubles you can message me or Carla and/or post on the page and one or several may be able to help let’s make this fun again!
Love that !!
Just saw this and love it. Not only does it hold a lot, it is quite nice looking. Maybe I should hunt around for a “find.”
Sorry I put this on the wrong posting. I did manage to get most of this done today since my neck is on the fritz.
How cute are they...great job.
Omg.....way too funny! I love it....and your fabrics are great.
Cute, Chef Glad they are wearing those shades, lol.
The shades are made from Angelina fiber melted.
Not sure about my sunglasses they are so small I might just paint on a metallic for the sunglasses.
Well I got a pelican design now to figure out what fabrics I’ll use for the background. I didn’t give any direction for bkgd fabrics so I was think a sky fabric and water as he flies over. What do you all think for that kind of bkgd fabric? Or would you rather have it a solid?
I think both sky and sea sounds perfect. Can't wait to see.
I'm taking a break from flamingo legs and bodies. Had to give up the variegated thread. It's a little too heavy for small stitches. Otherwise, this is the easy part. When I get to the eleven faces left to do, I will be anxious, I suspect.
Sky ocean sand and trees perhaps reminds me of home on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland Australia
