Who's up for another charm swap??!! Sign up by June 23, 2012. Check out the guidlines and join in the fun!!

Guidelines

Send 6    5" x 5" fabric pieces ( charms) to each of 9 people in your group.

When you sign up you may indicate your preferences, however, it is senders choice what to send, any color, any theme.

Try to send 6 different charms to each person ( there has been some problems with to many duplicate fabrics in some packages)

Fabric can be washed or unwashed.  Must be 100% cotton, not rough, thin, stiff, or see-through ( if you can see the fabric below the charm you have on top it is to thin). Please remember to give fabric you would use yourself.

Place charms in a zippered plastic bag and label whether they are washed or unwashed.

Affix a label with your name and address to the outside of the plastic bag ( The bag helps to protect the charms should the envelope rip open, the address label lets the PO know where to return them if the envelope does rip open)

Send me a message by June 23, either thriough a MQP private message or email me at  mjaldrich@live.com with your name and address. Please do not post your address in the comments to this discussion. I will compose a mailing list of addresses for each group.

Charm packs must be received by the rest of your group by July 15th. Please allow plenty of time for the PO to deliver your charms. If you will be unable to meet the deadline, or have to drop out of the swap please notify me immediatly so I can try to fill your spot in the group.

There will be 10 spots per group. Additional groups will be added as needed.

To Join the Swap

Simply post a comment to this discussion with your fabric preferences and I will update the groups.

Oh my goodness, Debbie...as far as I know, "quilt police" is just a humorous phrase.  do you know of any true quilt police?  Who exactly are they?  Maybe there are so I hope you'll share your information.

As Mary and I both said, charms have been around forever...probably longer than any of us have been quilters.  Try googling "charms" and "charm quilts and you will see the word charm doesn't belong to Moda.  Go to a quilt store and see how many books there are with "charm" in the title.  They'd all b in legal trouble if Moda owned the word.

We're fine, I'm sure, and I'm sorry  if I upset you with the phrase quilt police.

Ok girls, calm down! I just heard from a shop owner that they could not use the term charms on their stuff, I just wanted an answer so I could send the right fabric! Quilt Police!?! Too Funny!!

Oh Mary! Count me in on round 3!

Jo Ann, you didn't upset me in the least with your "quilt police" phrase.....We laugh and joke about the quilt police during my Quilt Guild meetings all the time. What upset me was the fact that someone would come up with a "concern" about "charm" phraseology....EVERYONE I know that quilt uses charms, jelly rolls, etc and they aren't referring to MODA fabric. The only time there would be a problem is if any of those items were labeled as such for sale, and we aren't selling anything. If someone doesn't like the terms or has a concern about copyright infringement then don't participate.!!

I'm so glad Debra!  I was worried all evening that I had made things worse! We joke about it too at guild!

okay, ladies,  the only people I am missing goodies from are Carol, Mary and Pat.   Has everyone received their goodies from me?  I haven't heard from Pat or Angie if you received your goodies or not.  Joy?  Did you finally get one from me? There is one posting I can't seem to access from you, Joy, and that is probably the one you said you got your goodies.  Just let me know for sure, please?  Thanks!

I have mailed them Let me know when you get them if not I will remail to you

I have received yours, Carol!  Thank you...I really like the fabric choices you sent me!
