Congratulations Beth!

I just got back from a week enjoying my grandchildren in California and those Pacific breezes. Indy parked himself on a deck chair most of the week and he did not want to leave late last night. However, within minutes of being home, he managed to roll in bird poo and dig up some worms to  roll on!

I was able to cross off an item on my bucket list. Went to The Quilt Angel in Petaluma, CA. My secret sister will be getting some lovely fat quarters. The fabrics were awesome. I also picked up a couple patterns to make my granddaughter a couple things for her December birthday.

Now back to reality. Not sure I'll have time to participate in Kathy's fantastic Impossible Missions as I have a couple round robins to catch up on and I'm putting my house on the market. I'm also doing a lot of downsizing. I'll be here cheering everyone on tho.  Let's see some scissor lanyards, cases, etc.!!!!

Is everyone warm enough? Either I have been hiding and quilting in my air conditioned studio or I am out and about around water. I am sewing tops out of recently received blocks from quilt swaps. Of all things the one I am working on right now is a Christmas quilt from the Christmas in July blocks. I know it will be here before I am ready. I am also still working away on a Lori Holt Bee Happy quilt. I am taking a class with some friends. The class helps me to get things done.

I am going to start listing the monthly contests under the discussion forum so that they are listed separately and easier for everyone to find.  Please continue to use the comment wall for everything else so that we don't get them confused.

I want to thank everyone for joining us on the monthly contests which I have been calling our Impossible Missions because I know that everyone has busy lives and it is hard to get to them each month.  I hope however that everyone will still try each month to join us so that everyone will have a chance to win one of the monthly prizes.

Drum Roll Please........And the winner of the May Impossible Spool Mission is....Beth North with her spool doll.  Congratulations Beth on winning a Marti Michell Log Cabin ruler.  If you already have this ruler, please let me know as soon as possible so that I can exchange it for something different.  Thanks for playing.

The June Impossible Scissors Mission entries are due no later than July 15th.  I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.

Hello ladies,

I still haven't gotten everyone's votes for the spool contest.  You have until June 30th to vote.  We had some really cute entries this month so the voting has been very close.

Also, the June scissors Impossible Mission will need to have your pictures posted no later that July 15th.  Don't forget, it can be a pouch, or a lanyard, or a storage container of any type, it is all up to you.  I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Kathy
