Funny Kathy M!!!! Don't know if a quilter could be considered a notion!

Let's see...I have a lot of applique projects coming up and I'm running out of wonder under. So I guess that would be my notion for now. My thread collection is also getting low in common colors except red. I have some blues and purples but never the one I need to match my project...they are so hard to match.  Low on greens, pinks, browns, yellows. I'm ok on orange since I pretty much use the same one it seems. Can always use white and black. Can never have enough of those. I love thread from Connecting Threads.

Good question, Paula!

Notion - mine would be a quilter that would finish all my UFO's, is that possible ?!?!?!?!

Good morning ladies. Hope all are having a nice weekend as we pay homage to those who provide our freedom. I am just starting free motion quilting and ordered my first ruler (think it was the feather one). Never heard of these until I started seeing info on FB. So it should be in my mail when we get back to NV from our trip to see grandsons in CA. Weather is cool here compared to home. Prior to leaving I have been using my embroidery machine after a long hiatus. We have some disagreement about stopping and screwing up the thread....the machine seems to be winning. Of course I cannot let it since I am in a swap due the end of June. I am only a couple of hours from Superior Thread, so it is a fun trip to visit their locale. Looking for ideas for the towel contest, that will be next on my plate. As for other notions, I love it all...but rulers are now up there. LOL

Hello fellow Secret Santas,
I'm afraid I have been too secret! I'm sorry that I have been dragging my feet. Anyway, I've already started collecting little goodies and planning projects. Thanks to all who posted links to ideas!
To answer the questions that have been posted:
I'm in for the towel contest.
No coffee for me, so no favorite creamer
The colors in my house are pretty consistent - tan, sage, spa
blue and cream.
My table is a rectangle about 40" x 70"
I do have an embroidery machine, but it has been quite a while
since I have used it. I have a lot of Christmas
designs. Maybe it's time to dust it off!
I just finished reading all the back posts and I am looking forward to seeing what we all come up with!

Ladies,  I am the queen of brights.  I love bright colors and unusual prints.  My favorite thing is to get a bright weird print and design a quilt around it.  For instance, I received a fat quarter on neon geckos.  I made a wonderful black, rainbow stripes, and gecko baby quilt out of it.  The recipient will be 4 in August, and he doesn't go anywhere without it.  His mom says that they constantly receive complements on it

And I love bright threads.  My favorite thread is Alex Anderson and Ricky Tims for Superior Threads.

I'm not much into notions or pins.  I love doing strip quilts and patchwork.  I love doing raw edge applique and designing my own patterns.  I had a quilt block of the week calendar that I loved, but lost it when we moved.

My favorite artist is Romero Britto and I just got one of his original paintings from my husband.  It is a small heart, and I absolutely love it.  It is my first piece of original artwork from such a famous artist.  It is a small one, but it was the most we could afford which makes it all the more precious to me.  He hung it above our bed and I get tears in my eyes every time I look at it.

Linda - I will tell Kathy Cassidy to contact you.  She travels a lot and not always easy to get hold of!

Just started my big project for the SS box.  This might be hard to give away.
