catching up here after weekend trip. i went to pat's page, i am a long time fan of pat sloan. printing up this pattern today! i love this. will be a great idea for my growing collection of scraps via mil church group donations :)) so...thank you sandi for posting this!

My mom has some in her motorhome.  This way I do not care if they get lost or stained.

Hi Evelyn, I have sewn them like a string quilt onto a muslim back and then made pot holders out of them for camping.

Sorry, forgot to say who the last comment was for, the QW site is in reply to the selvedge quilt post.

Diane, have you considered scattering an applique shape randomly over your quilt to tie everything together. I've seen a 1600 quilt with butterflies on. I myself used a Frangipani type shape from Accuquilt to tie together this swap block quilt.

Chris Dahl from Quilting Weekly has a lovely pattern for a quilt, I think she might also have a bag pattern, they are online classes, I just haven't had the time to do it.
