Comment by Kathryn Bates on October 17, 2012 at 10:01pm Kathy - It's just a modified Friendship Star - but took a little planning to get the red and blue "ribbons" in the right place on each block so that it looks continuous. I design using EQ7, which certainly makes it easier. All you have to do to make the ribbons is make 1/2-square triangle blocks in the four corners of the nine-patch friendship star, and watch your color placement.
