Comment by Susan Bosshardt Sinks on March 22, 2013 at 2:28pm lol Rogue- I have always thought that if the groundhog doesn't see his shadow, the only thing it means is that the sky is cloudy. Crazy that people are calling that poor rodent a liar and holding him responsible. I truly hope they all are just trying to be funny. This cold early spring is much better than last ear when we had record highs in the mid 80's! You can always put on more clothes ( or cover up with more quilts.) There are only so many clothes we can take off before someone is calling the cops.

Sherri -- Love the quilt! Haven't been on this site for a long time. Just checking everything out.

Comment by Sherri Eley on September 6, 2012 at 11:21am Just catching up on posts since I haven't been on this site for quite awhile. I have finally finished my hand quilting on my latest scrap quilt. Now all that is left is to put on the binding and hand sew it down. I am one of the few who enjoy this step in the quilt process. ONe of my granddaughters was here for a few days last weekend and we did some sewing and selecting of fabric for a quilt that she wants me to make. So we stitched up a pillow cover in the color and style of the quilt I will make for her. Got the quilting frame out of the sun room and the room cleaned and back to normal. Boy that feels good. WE are off for an afternoon trip to Bear Creek Farms in IN with my best friend and her husband. Looking for quilting shops along the way is in our plan. WE have been to several shops just over the IN line, but we have our spouses going and they aren't into fabric as much as Diane and I are. And besides, I really don't need to bring more fabric into my house. I am trying tu use up what I have.
Comment by Susan Bosshardt Sinks on August 17, 2012 at 5:05pm HI Ruth- I am not finding your message about being in Beavercreek on here but it showed up in my email. Welcome. I live in Moraine. We have a nice little group of quilters that meet at the Moraine Civic Center, Mondays and Thurs. evenings. We are off for the summer, but start back in Sept. Let me know if you need a group of women to quilt with!
Sherri, sounds great. Let me know when you have your "mom-sitter". How long does it take for you to get here? Been trying to get our friend Carol V. to come over too. It would be fantastic if you both came at the same time. I have 1 quilty friend who would love to meet other quilters if she's not working her 12 hr shifts as a nurse. I haven't seen her much lately because she's been working nights. But maybe she can work her schedule around the day we get together. I look forward to seeing you.
Comment by Sherri Eley on June 24, 2012 at 11:47am Linda, I would love to get together with a few of you ladies. I am several hours away though in NW part of the state. Maybe at some future date. Right now my mom who is 93 lives with us and I cannot leave for the day and put that responsibility on my husband. But if I can find a day when my daughter would be available to "mom-sit" I would love to drive up to visit with you and any other quilters who would enjoy a gab fest...
