I've recently taken on a minor research project for my current guild and discovered to my amazement that machine quilting has been going on in the USA since sewing machines became readily and…Continue

Tomara, I am from Lima and belong to a group and a guild of 150 we welcome new members, email me at email@example.com for more informatiom. Our guild has a member who makes quilts for the Wounded Warriors, she would be happy to help you.
Hi I am new at quilting and from NW Ohio. I am hoping to make lap quilts for our local Veterans that are in the nursing homes in the area. I have high hopes at getting several made before this fall to give to them. Doesn't look like this is very active group.
I'm in Cincinnati-belong to the Ohio Valley Quilters Guild. Check their website for area meetings. We have a meeting next Monday at the Sycamore Senior Center in Blue Ash off of Reid Hartman Highway. I also participate in a small group at Gorman Farm in Evendale-always looking for new members. There is a quilt store in the Milford area that might have some information for you (0n 28 I think).
Is anyone here in Cincinnati? I am looking for quilting groups in the Clermont area with no luck?
Welcome June. Too bad you don't live in NE Ohio. I have a Havanese who is 3 that is a rescue also from a puppy mill. Indy has been with me for 1-1/2 years now. Where in NW Ohio are you?
I always have more than 1 project going at the same time. I think we quilters have minds that are always working ahead.
Good Morning!!! I'm June from NW Ohio. I've been quilting for about 5 years now and love it!!! I'm retired, married with 3 children and 6 grandchildren and a 15 year old Shih Tzu we saved from a puppy mill and a mix ??? named Cody who is 3 years old and who we adopted from the animal shelter. I have three projects I'm working on at the moment. A large lap quilt top I finished this morning about 1:30am, another lap quilt that I'm quilting but need to rip out some of the top stitching on the quilt top, batting and backing. And my last project is a small wallet I'm trying to make.
Happy Quilting !!!!!!
By the way these quilts were donated to a retreat center in AZ that councils church workers, ministers and their spouses, and military chaplains. There were 12 quilts total. All my quilts go to charity and my 7 grandchildren and other family members.
Linda D. That is a great idea! I have 2 disks in my camera, but it will be days before I get to since today is the first day I've had a computer in a while. So let me start by bringing in some of the quilts from my October quilt show.
OK girls. I started it. Now let's see some photos!!!
Linda, I am so sorry to hear you have been sick! My husband was sick, then my son, plus mt RA is still in the "very active" stages. I also have been helping my Mom alot. Lots of Dr. appts. for us all. My Grandkids and daughter came to OH from TN for a few days after Christmas and I sure enjoyed their visit!! I had some urgent sewing to finish before they got here! I have been overwhelmed with "stuff". Busy, busy, busy. I hope your able to find some nice people in your area to sew with! Hugs,
Kathy, my friend and pal, you've come out of hiding! Thank you for your overly kind words. How are you feeling? Are the doctors getting things under control finally? I've been down with pneumonia in my bad lung for 3 weeks now. The doctor said the only reason she wasn't putting me in the hospital was she didn't know who would have separation anxiety worse...Indy or me!!
Welcome to the new Ohio members. Anyone up in the SE Cleveland area?
I will host weekend retreats in my home for 2-3 people free. You just have to supply your own food for the weekend. It's a good way to just get together with other quilters and work on projects like those UFOs you've been meaning to get to.
