Inspiring Quilters, Stitch by Stitch
Talking with quilters from all over the world is amazing, but sometimes it's good to get to know other quilters closer to home. This group will allow us to get to know other quilters from North Carolina, share our favorite quilt shops, tips, techniques and maybe make some new friendships!

Comment by Sue Cooke on May 15, 2013 at 3:30pm LOL it's like NY...people assume it's only NYC...it extends about 10 hours north of it lol!
Comment by Pat Meinecke on May 14, 2013 at 7:17pm Regretfully I'll not attend the Expo in Raleigh as it is a 7 hour drive from where we live in the far western part of the state. (Yes, NC does extend 2 hours past Asheville.) :-) I'll post some photos soon as I can figure out how to make my Mac post from iPhoto.
Comment by Sue Cooke on May 14, 2013 at 7:03pm Hi Pat! Welcome to the group! You sound very busy! Please post pictures of your quilts! It is so nice to "meet" you! Are you planning on attending the quilting expo in June?
Comment by Pat Meinecke on May 14, 2013 at 6:45pm Hi all. Have been a member of this board for a long time but rarely chime in.
Besides quilting I also direct two handbell choirs and at this time of year that keeps me busy with concerts.
Have recently finished a class sample quilt for something I'm teaching in 2014 at the Folk School and now have pulled out a Hawaiian block sampler that I started about 5 years ago and am finishing the machine applique on the border. Looking forward to getting it on the long arm!
Comment by Sue Cooke on May 6, 2013 at 12:14pm Welcome to the group Teckla! It's nice to "meet" you! I look forward to "meeting" your Sister-in-law and her mother as well!
Comment by Teckla Buller on May 5, 2013 at 10:15am My sister-in-law, Jean Light Kinyon, in Stoneville and her mother, Ralphine Light, in Eden quilt, so I like to see what's going on in NC. This is a great site for inspiration and information! Have to ask them if they are members. If not, I'll encourage them to join! Jean has been my encouragement to get started quilting again after 10+ years. Stll very much a beginner, taking a class and learning lots!
