Bernice - are you in the 518 area code?  Some of the shops are out there, but still in the 518 area.  I figured that was a good place to start.

Melanie I was so happy to see NYS doing a shop hop. You are so lucky to have so many shops in your area code. I want to visit as many as I can but my calendar is almost full for July and August so I will see. So far I only have two patterns. I was thinking maybe once the hop is over in August we can all swap patterns either by email or mail. I can't wait to have at least eight patterns to make a quilt. Let me know what everyone thinks about swapping patterns so that we can add to our collection in case some are not able to make certain shops.

Sounds like a great shophop! I'm glad the shops in NY are doing things like this. I've read about a big one out in Washington and Oregon and wished we had something like it.

Hello Ladies - have you heard about NY Row By Row?  There are 62 quilt shops in the state participating in this shop hop.  Visit the store and get the pattern and then make a quilt and be the first to bring it to one of the shops and win a FQ bundle!  Each shop is giving away a bundle.  Visit the FB page at www.facebook.com/NYSRowbyRow    - WOW - 62 shops and I found 13 are in my telephone area code (figured that's a good place to start).  Quilt away NYers!

Is anyone going to the Ricky Tims Super Seminar? It's in Rochester, on the 12th, 13th and 14th. I'm going with 4 friends.

Hello ladies. Anyone doing the NYS Row By Row shop Hop? I was in The Glens Falls area yesterday and picked up the free pattern from Patti's Quilting And Fabrics Quilt shop. The pattern is adorable and I am in love with the quilt shop. Unfortunately I didn't get to visit the other shops in the area but I plan on going back to visit. What a great idea for this shop hop. Love it!!!

I looked up the Village Squares Quilters, their next meeting in in September.  I'd have to take Metro North to get there, but it is certainly a trip I can do once a month.

That's too bad about the Day with Dolls. Do you know about the Pelham Quilters or the Village Squares Quilters?

No.  I attended Day with Dolls when it was held in Mt. Vernon in 2008.  It was terrific.  I was first getting interested in dolls and I was able to buy all kinds of patterns and supplies.  This year there was no Day with Dolls.
