I LOVE small quilts. I hang them on my "quilt" wall in my hall.

For just over a year I have been making and swapping doll quilts and mug rugs, so I have been filling up my walls.

Here is a picture of what I have received from swap partners on another quilting website.

NONE of these wall hangings were made by me. Anything I made is NOT on the wall as I mailed them to a swap partner.

this one I made over 20 yrs ago and I just made it for me. It is the one I had on my nightstand. this was my first wall hanging. I had made a billfold with 1 1/2" pieced blocks and decided to do something for a mini quilt/wall hanging

these are some of my doll quilts I made. they were swapped so I no longer have most of them.

the first one is a 3D flower. all the flowers are free from teh background.

the bear's paw is my own design

the corn one was to represent Iowa. It is a dresden kaleidoscope

welcome to the group cheri! ...and welcome to My Quilt Place as well. nice to "meet" you & looking forward to seeing your doll quilts.

rhonda, that's a great idea.. i do that w vintage framed prints. this could be a way to display more minis. have some at head of stairs covering holes in walls made by previous owner. lollol...by need i have created a conversation area and they look so dramatic when going up the stairs. have another mini going...but never get to work on it :((. and winter is over...oh well, maybe next winter! :))

I've been in a doll quilt swap on the Quilting Board forum and I hung several of mine in a display on one wall. You can also hang them and rotate them so you can enjoy one at a time. or I have put them over the back of a couch or chair like a chair pad. they make great table toppers. I have one I made years ago that covers my  night stand.

I am getting interested in doll quilts..hopefully to make and sell. I made one for my grand daughter and she loves it, well, she tells me her dolls love it!. But when they are 16x16 small...what do you do with them?

beautiful little mini's. amd beautifully photographed and displayed. especially w the coin to give dimension. i have not gone below 1/2" piece size..no goals..i just go with ideas. but hmmmm...have you issued a challenge? lollollol...guess next mini...not soon tho - i like to finsh one before next. currently one mini, one "couch" size and one wall hanging being worked on. and should be working instead of here. been fussing with tensions on new machine after crying my eyes out that none of my old feet fit it & i had decided today was the day for the piping in wall quilt blocks. :(( ..oh well...work on something else. dust storm outside (live in a desert type area)so inside for day. rare opportunity this time of year to sit and sew! yayyyy!! lol

Thanks Sharon and rogue quilter.  I meant new to the site and how it works.  I made my first mini in the early 90's then didn't do much for a while.  Around 2000 I started using 1" squares in TripATWorld quilts and made 9P and 4P with all those little leftover squares that I'm too cheap to throw away.  About 5 years ago I saw quilts with 1/4" squares and made one just to see if I could.  Although far from perfect, I could.  And have been playing with tiny pieces ever since.  I very seldom paper piece. My avatar quilt, an AAQI donation, is made of 1/2" (f) HST's.  I like to make Christmas quilt ornaments.  The first is some Valentine's ornaments.  I keep my little 3' tree up all winter; take off the Christmas and use small porcelain cardinals, pine cone ornaments and red and clear mini ornaments along with these and some tiny hearts.  The 2nd pic is a spring 4P that I love.   The next is the first 1/4"(f) mini I made.
