I am working on a "Keyhole" jelly roll quilt, it is fast and easy, I find most of these quilts mindless, which is good. Most of my day is spent in  front of a computer, when I get home I want to look…Continue

I have been going thru my scraps as well.  I have three tubs of various sized strips.  I will go back to them after the rest of the pieces of scraps are cut into workable shapes.

I spent two days going through the bags of 1.5" fabric quilt material. I made two piles - first 36" or longer and 44" length. Then separated them into lights and darks. Then the smaller pieces in a bag for the string quilts. organized in nothing else,

We make our own. There is a fabric wholesaler about an hour drive from us.  We go up every other month. They have a ONE DOLLAR A YARD scrappy pieces. we buy lots oof colors to cut into 2.5" strips and roll them that way. I have mixed a few as gifts. We cut part of the material into 5" strips for charm packs as well.

My guild is doing the blocks as a challenge for us.  Will be interesting to see the same blocks put into quilts, I bet they turn out so different

Thank you for the link Beth. That looks like a great use for my stash of strips. My guild exchange strips two years back. I have used the blues and whites to piece a "lady of the lake" quilt but had no plans yet for the rest. This challenge will be perfect.

Diane, I do enjoy Missouri Star Quilts. I have used a number of their tutorials.

This gal is great with using Jelly Rolls.  Plus, I like her product.

Just a FYI...

I see the Fat Quarter Shop's blog has the video tutorial "Jelly Roll Jam" for making two quilts from one Jelly Roll. Other video lessons available too. They have a huge amount of fabric 20%-50% off. I love shopping there:)

Has anyone gone to the Missouri Star Quilt tutorials on Utube?  They offer several good suggestion on using pre-cut bundles.

Hello everyone,  I have only been working with Jelly rolls for a short period but I'm finding them to be more versatile than I first thought. I'm looking forward to swapping ideas with other members of this group.
