Hello Sharon.  I've been to your shop before, but took another visit this morning.  I really like your quilts and patterns.  Everything is fun and current.  Some of your photos are a little dark, maybe it would help if you did some outdoor photography. Mine always seem to look a little better outside.  Also, I use the free picmonkey photo editor.  Have you tried it?  It's really great.  Do you have a blog, or a Facebook page where you promote your business.  That helps, too.

Jennifer,

Thank you so much.  I am so new to the Etsy thing, but I am passionate about pursueing it.  I will try to work on the pictures and upload new ones.  I appreciate any and all feedback.  I am trying to make more products to stock up my shop.  (I am a busy mom though).  How nice three boys - enjoy every moment.  They grow up way to quickly.  I miss my oldest who is at college.  Thanks again.

Hello Nancy.  I'm also a Mom to 3 boys, however mine are younger, 14, 8, and 3.  I've visited your Etsy shop, and I would say the biggest thing you can do to help boost sales is work on your pictures.  It takes a lot of practice, but mine have improved, and so can yours.  You need to take as many pictures of each object as possible and make them as clear as possible, because the buyer needs to feel like they are holding your wonderful creation in their hands when they are shopping.  It helps to take pictures outside, with the sun behind you, or on a cloudy day.  Try to put your item in different surroundings, like with some flowers, against a white wall, on an old vintage chair, etc.  Do a close up in one of your photos, and also try to include one that shows the item in use.  Hope this helps.  It's great to meet you.  Have a super day!

I have no clue if I am doing this right, and probably will not be able to find my way back, but...  My name is Nancy and I just joined My Quilt Place, and this Etsy Sellers Group.  I have been married to my husband for 21 plus years, and I am a homeschool mom to our three boys.  My oldest graduated last year at the age of 16 and is going to Savannah College of Art and Design.  I took a quilt class 15 years ago after my second son was born and have been passionate ever since.  My boys are getting older, and I don't want to be left empty when they all leave the nest.  I just opened an Etsy account:  http://www.etsy.com/shop/QuaintQuiltsAndMore  I am hoping to start to turn my passion into profit for the benefit of comforting others through quilting.  I am not tech savy, and could use some helpful hints on furthering myself and selling my quilts.

Etsy is worldwide.  I'm in the USA, but I find about half of my sales come from other countries, and I see many sellers on Etsy from around the world.  The fees seem nominal to me.  Even though I don't have a lot of sales, I'm still making a profit.

Is there a Canadian version of Etsy???? if not wish someone would create one- I haven't taken the plunge yet as I find the fees quite high
