I pretty much always buy on -line  other than the little shop here 20 miles away. I can get much better deals. I have never been disappointed so far. thank goodness. :)

Quality is easy - I just stick with name brands. But, the choices are SOOOOOO vast! That is where I always get stuck. So many gorgeous choices out there. I mostly shop batiks on-line as our small local quilt shop does not have a lot to choose from. I always check there first as I want to support the store and hope it will do well and expand! But, when I have to go on-line it takes me hours deciding and then sometimes disappointed when it comes in the mail. I bought some Indian Batiks on line that looked so pretty, but when I got them they didn't seem like quality batiks. Their texture is so different. Not sure if it is poor quality or just a different process they use????

Hi all,

I opened my own little quilt shop here in Hyndman, PA (very small town) in April, but unfortunately, it has not done well at all.  I really have enjoyed having my own quilt shop and now we have made the decision to move it to our home, to save on expenses, but it's a much smaller area.  I have 167 bolts of fabric, lots of rulers, patterns, rotary cutters, sewing machines and other items that I'm going to sell at wholesale or below prices, if anyone is interested, just message me.  Thanks

Good description Colette! So, the dark it will be - really tarnished!!!

When we did the oranges, mine was so different than the others - I didn't want that to happen again. Your oranges were all bright and mine was a fall orange.

scrap quilter post pics of your work!

robin don't ever over think your choices! if you like a darker fabric for a color choice then go with it!  we are not that picky about color! we are picky about quality!

We will call it tarnished silver Robin.

I like the dark one the best, the second one you posted 2nd and the last one third.

I can so relate to that Carla! LOL

I like the dark also, but kinda thought the "silver" might mean I need to go lighter. Glad I asked!!!
